Premium ice cream Carte D’Or is adding a Salted Caramel variant to its portfolio. The new flavour will feature the Classic Carte D’Or gold rimmed packaging in line with the existing range and will clearly communicate the ingredients’ credentials to consumers. “Carte D’Or is worth £54.5m with a 12% share of the Desserts category,” says brand manager Florence Howell. She expects the new line to encourage more consumers to trade up to premium ice cream. The 900ml tubs are sold in cases of six.
