Vipul Pabari, who runs Connaught Road Post Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, rang to say that he had 16 packets of old-style Café Crème cigars left over (about £100-worth). He doesn’t get regular visits from Scandinavian Tobacco reps, but was told when he rang that a rep would visit to swap the stock.
When this didn’t happen he took the stock to his Booker branch where tobacco reps were swapping stock, but the ST rep didn’t have any fresh stock. Again he was told it would happen and was given a new number to ring. He spoke to the new contact several times, but now the contact is not returning calls. So Vipul rang HQ again and this time was told that it wasn’t policy to swap stock!
I got in touch with Scandinavian Tobacco and after several forwarding on of emails I got this response from a spokesman: “I can confirm that the issue has been resolved to the satisfaction of the retailer.”
