The Manchester Evening News devoted a page to Scott Darlington. As reported here, Scott says the Horizon system that logged a £45,000 shortfall has brought him to the brink of bankruptcy and him narrowly avoiding prison.
The newspaper also quotes Amanda Glover, who is heading up the Shoosmith action. She says: "They all say they've not taken any money, while the Post Office says there's nothing wrong with Horizon, but it appears to record people using it when they are not even logged on and one post office recorded a loss when it was closed."
She adds: "Bank records and houses have been searched, but there's no evidence they've taken the money."
