KIKKOMAN is to use Chinese New Year to kick-start its 2007 marketing campaign.
The year of the boar begins on February 18 and the company has commissioned a series of pork stir-fry recipes containing the soy sauce, which will feature in consumer magazines.
Company bosses are encouraging retailers to use Chinese New Year to add excitement to ethnic food fixtures in the traditionally quiet post-Christmas period.
2006 saw the red-capped bottle appear in Coronation Street, EastEnders and Hollyoaks.
Kikkoman Soy Sauce is available in 150ml dispensers and 250ml bottles.
