Boost Drinks is updating its sports drinks with a new recipe, packaging and citrus variant.

New Citrus Boost Sport has been launched in response to consumer tastes for a ‘lighter, zingier flavour’ and will join a four-strong range with Orange, Tropical Berry and Mixed Berry SKUs.

The new bottle design has been created to be more reflective of the isotonic sport drinks subcategory.

Boost Sport works by replacing the fluids lost by sweating whilst providing an essential carbohydrate boost, driving endurance levels further and reducing fatigue.

Founder and managing director Simon Gray said: “Investing in new product development is a key part of our Champion Of The Independents commitment, whereby we do not sell to or through supermarkets. Boost Sport has been performing especially well throughout last year and so it makes complete sense to build on the opportunity in this category.”

All four Boost Sport lines come in 500ml bottles, price marked at 50p.
