Functional energy drink brand Celsius has been hitting the road this month for Freshers’ Weeks nationwide, bringing the brand to some of England’s biggest universities.
It kicked off in London on 19 September before heading to Birmingham, Bath and Loughborough, combining interactive fitness-inspired challenges, product sampling and prizes, with experiences designed to get students “moving, competing and connecting with friends,” Celsius said.
At the centre of the activation is a football challenge with students invited to put their free-kick accuracy to the test for a chance to win prizes. The experience will also feature the fast-feet challenge, where students will race against the clock to hit as many sensors as possible.
Alongside the challenges, students can sample their favourite flavours from the Celsius truck - a mobile activation designed to bring the brand’s LIVE.FIT.G platform to sporting, fitness and lifestyle events around England.
New friends
Carlotta Cattelani, head of marketing for UK&I at Celsius, said: “University is a place where people meet new friends, try new activities and find new communities they want to be a part of, so naturally Freshers’ Week events are a perfect fit for Celsius.
“We want students to come along, grab a Celsius, put their skills to the test and challenge their friends. It’s about kicking off the new academic year with an energy that makes the most of the opportunities in front of you.”
