
A man has been charged after a shop worker was stabbed in a store in the Shard End area of Birmingham on Thursday.
Reece Allen, 31, from Birmingham, has been charged with robbery, theft from a shop, wounding, possessing a knife in a public place and common assault of an emergency worker.
Allen has been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (10 February).
This comes after the male shop worker sustained a knife wound to his stomach during a robbery at the Heron Foods store on Heathland Avenue on Thursday morning (5 February).
Paramedics were called to Heron Foods just after 10.05am on Thursday, where they treated an employee for stab wounds. The seriously injured man was taken to hospital and an investigation launched.
Detectives then issued the image of Allen (above), who is said to have links to the Winson Green area of the city, with him subsequently arrested and charged
