The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) has promoted from within the organisation this week, creating two new roles for some established members of its team.
Former communications director, Chris Noice, has been promoted to external affairs director, taking on responsibility for “strategy development and execution in government relations, research, media and communications”.
Elsewhere, Jordan Newfield has been promoted to head of public affairs, after previously being the ACS’ public affairs manager, and will be leading ACS’ campaigning activity and engagement work with policymakers.
The restructure follows the appointment of Ed Woodall as chief executive earlier this year.
Woodall said: “Chris and Jordan have been central to ACS’ success in championing local shops for many years. Their deep understanding of the sector, policy expertise and professionalism mean they are exceptionally well placed to lead our external affairs work and ensure ACS continues to deliver the strongest possible voice for retailers in government, parliament and the media.”
