The deadline for retailers and store managers to enter their hard-working employees into the 2019 Sales Assistant of the Year Awards is looming.

In a new format for 2019 the awards are promising to be bigger and better than ever, taking place for the first time alongside the prestigious Convenience Retail Awards at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel.

Running for well over two decades, the awards, which also include the coveted Community Hero accolade, offer retailers and management a meaningful way to reward and incentivise their valued employees.

Successful applicants will receive a store visit from one of our judges, after which four finalists will be selected to attend the grand award ceremony.

Each of the four finalists will receive £150 and the overall winner of Sales Assistant of the Year will receive an additional £500. The Community Hero will also receive an additional £350.

In addition to the cash prizes and an unforgettable night in a top London hotel, previous winners say that the awards also provided a welcome boost to their self-confidence. Kirsty Rhodes (pictured), from Spar St Dials, in Wales, is the most recent winner 

The closing date for entries is Monday 12 November, so don’t delay! Give your staff the thank you they deserve.

Who can enter? Any store workers, from junior to supervisor level

What happens next? Entrants who impress the awards judges will be contacted to arrange a store visit from one of the judging panel.

When will the ceremony take place? The four leading finalists will be invited to attend the Convenience Retail Awards on 14 March 2019 where the overall Sales Assistant of The Year and Community Hero will be announced.
