Point Four director Paula Boden rang to say how disappointed she was that I had lumped her company in with the 'not good' epos suppliers a couple of issues back. Yes, she is aware that the media package (ads sold to support the ongoing fees) hasn't worked as planned. However, the kit and support, she claims, is fine (well, I had received a complaint on that front).

She points out that recently the company literally doubled its business with Nisa member R&M Swaine's group Rhythm & Booze. The group already runs the epos through 36 stores and has just ordered the equipment for another 36 in relation to ex-Threshers stores it acquired in December.

She adds that a newly signed Nisa member, Dave's Discounts, a Dudley-based chain, has also ordered the system for 13 of its units previously owned by Threshers. So I must admit that they can't all be wrong!
