Eric Dyson has three chest-type freezers at his Dysons Village Stores in Charlesworth, Glossop, Derbyshire. "They each have two double-glazed sliding lids," he says, "but the glass has misted up terribly."
He wonders if anyone knows of a manufacturer who is prepared to replace them. "Preferably in single-glazed safety glass," he adds, "which seems to be used on all new models."
His own supplier isn't interested, preferring to replace the whole thing, but with profits being eroded in every direction, particularly for small village shops, I think 'mend and make do' makes great sense, and I'm sure a lot of readers will agree.
The two larger chests measure about 800 x 500mm while the smaller one is approximately
550 x 500mm.
There must be someone out there who can help Eric.
