The Justice for Subpostmasters All-iance (JFSA) has issued high court proceedings against Post Office Ltd. The alliance says that POL “has flatly refused to accept the damning findings of the three-year investigation that a firm of independent experts produced, a firm which was both selected, and paid for, by Post Office Ltd”.

For those unfamiliar with the case, dozens of postmasters were prosecuted after experiencing problems with the PO’s Horizon computer system. Three years ago more than 100 retailers said they were wrongly prosecuted or made to repay money after computers made non-existent shortfalls. It led to the creation of the alliance.

JFSA has now appointed solicitors Freeths LLP to represent the ‘Group Legal Action against Post Office Ltd’ and reportedly hundreds of claimants have registered in an attempt to recover compensation. You too can join if you are or were a subpostmaster at any time between 2000 and 2016 and suffered financial losses which you believe were due to Horizon. JFSA says it will not cost you anything.
