National Apprenticeship Week 2026 - Recruitment and HR

James Hall & Co. Ltd has many apprenticeships across its business network.

Apprentices at James Hall & Co. Ltd have been front and centre of operations this week, as the company celebrates National Apprenticeship Week.

With the theme of Skills For Life, the week-long event highlights how apprenticeships and skills open doors to exciting and rewarding careers.

The week also “raises awareness of how businesses build future-ready workforces and support economic growth by addressing priority skills gaps,” the wholesaler said.

Apprentices at James Hall & Co. Ltd contribute to the ongoing success of the company and currently feature in roles across retail, warehousing, food manufacturing, marketing, IT, store design and more.

This includes those working at the Spar distribution centre, its company-owned Spar retail store division and its food manufacturing businesses.

Wendy Parkinson, early careers lead at the group and national member of the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, said: “Apprentices are driving our business forward in the present while supporting the business’ succession planning.

“We’re synonymous with Spar, one of the world’s largest retail brands, and with such a diverse business it means the range of continuous and sustainable career development opportunities we offer are vast and our Apprentices are at the heart of that.”
