Billy Kay's store in Greenock, Inverclyde, took the top title at the Robert Wiseman Dairies Neighbourhood Shop of the Year Awards.
All entrants are nominated for the awards by their own customers, and applicants come under intense scrutiny.
Billy, whose store saw a major refurbishment last year, received his award at a ceremony in St Andrews, Fife. He also scooped accolades in the Gold Awards and Excellence in Milk Merchandising categories.
Commenting at the ceremony, Robert Wiseman Dairies director of sales and marketing Sandy Wilkie said: "We have been extremely impressed by standards. It's fantastic to see the local shop remains the mainstay of so many communities."
New Store of the Year went to David Sands in Burntisland, Fife, while the Community Involvement award was won by Londis Blackthorne, Northampton.
Five Healthy Living Initiative Awards, linking in with the Scottish Grocers' Federation's Healthy Living Programme, went to: Spar (CJ Lang) at Mastrick, Aberdeen; David Sands, Burntisland; Spar Good2Go, Castletown, Caithness; Spar, Drip Road, Stirling; and Spar (Dougie Edgar), Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway.
