The Top Shop Awards are back, and this time they are bigger and better than ever.
The 2007 Awards are being staged in association with our sister magazine The Grocer and will culminate in a fantastic dinner and awards ceremony at London's Marriott Grosvenor Square on March 15, 2007. All the arrangements are in place - except for the winners.
This is where you come in. If you insist on high standards and are proud of your store, your staff and your service, then we want to hear from you. Request an official entry form today, either by post, phone or via the website, fill it in and return it to us by the closing date of November 15, 2006.
Awards categories
The awards are split into three categories: INDEPENDENT, INDEPENDENT SYMBOL and MULTIPLE.
? Independents are not affiliated to any one wholesaler or symbol group, and are either standalone stores or part of a group of nine stores or less.
? Independent Symbols are those stores that are in independent ownership either as single outlets or as part of a chain of nine stores or less, but trade under a wholesaler fascia and derive benefits from a symbol group head office.
? Multiples are stores that belong to a chain of 10 or more outlets in the same ownership, whether they trade under their own brand or that of a symbol or fascia group.
Each of these categories are sub-divided by trading location:
? Village/rural
? Neighbourhood/estate
? City/town/high street
Each of these winners will then be considered for one of three national titles:
? Top Village Store
? Top Neighbourhood Store
? Top Town Store
From these three, one overall winner will be selected to be Top Shop of the Year 2007.
If you are particularly proud of one or more sections of your store, you can also apply for any of the special category awards, regardless of whether you apply for one of the main Top Shop categories. So what are you waiting for?
