The Scottish Grocers’ Federation (SGF) is asking retailers for their input on the upcoming increases to wage costs, due in April.
As previously reported, the National Living Wage (NLW) for anyone aged over 21 will increase from 1 April to an hourly rate of £12.21, which represents an increase of 6.7%.
The survey is an important element of the SGF’s evidence submitted to the Low Pay Commission consultation each year. In its True Cost of Employment report, published in association with the University of Stirling, the real impact of any new rates for employers are highlighted, taking into account the associated costs such as Statutory Sick Pay and National Insurance contributions.
The survey only takes a few minutes and can be filled in here.
