Healthy treat pioneer, Wheyhey, is broadening its category reach with its first protein brownie snack bars.

The range features squidgy brownies in three flavours - Chocolate Peanut, Chocolate Orange and Chocolate Coconut, all with real chocolate chips.

On a mission to change the face of healthy snacking without compromising on health or taste, Wheyhey’s brownies are made using whey protein and are naturally low in sugar, high in protein, high in fibre, gluten-free, under 170 calories per bar and entirely natural.

Retaining the soft gooiness of a traditional, less good-for-you brownie, each 40g bar (rrp £1.80) is packed with over 10g of protein. Wheyhey’s unique recipe only uses milk from grass-fed cows cared for by trusted farmers.

Damien Kennedy, Wheyhey founder, said: “The introduction of Wheyhey Brownies comes at a time when consumer demand for healthier snack options, such as ours, has reached an all-time high. We launched Wheyhey in 2013 because we were infuriated by companies hoodwinking consumers with so-called ‘healthy’ foods that, in reality, were packed full of sugar. With our innovative brownie recipe we’ve made it possible to enjoy one of the nation’s favourite snacks, guilt free and without the high sugar content, whilst still enjoying something that tastes outrageously good.”
