Tabasco plans to mark its anniversary with a year-long celebration dedicated to the people who have made it a staple ingredient in classic and contemporary recipes around the world.
It kick-off in New Orleans in January with the first ever Tabasco Week, before hitting the road.
McIlhenny Company will invite fans in London, New York, Shanghai and beyond to exclusive events where they can taste how the world’s top chefs and creative cooks use the pepper sauce. Through 360˚ video technology, event attendees will be transported to Avery Island via interactive video footage, where heirloom tabasco pepper fields thrive, mashed peppers age in oak barrels and the Tabasco Sauce factory still produces every bottle of the sauce.
The anniversary will also be supported in-store across the country with exclusive anniversary themed promotions and in-store advertising.
Chefs and bartenders have been invited to create recipes with the sauce to be released throughout the year on the sauce’s website and social channels.
