Unilever UK is introducing Guideline Daily Amounts (GDA) information to the front of packs across its brand portfolio, including Hellmann's, PG Tips, Bertolli and Peperami, by the end of 2007.
GDAs appear on Flora pro.activ spreads now and the information will roll out from this month on Flora main brand spreads and Flora pro.activ milk, yogurts and mini drinks will follow soon after.
The products will be clearly marked with calorie, sugar, fat, saturate and salt content, all in grams per serving, along with the percentage of adult guideline daily amounts.
The GDA data will also feature on Birds Eye packs, despite the imminent sale of the division. Children's products in the Captain Birds Eye range will be complete with GDAs adapted for five- to 10-year-olds.
