Ethical British firm Seed and Bean has released three new flavours of premium chocolate. The bars come in extra dark aromatic fennel, milk caffe mocca and dark sweet orange and thyme (rrp £2.49).
“At Seed and Bean we are always looking at ways we can bring new tastes for people to try and enjoy using some interesting and sometimes quirky, always 100% natural ingredients,” says managing director Jonathan Shorts.
Every bar is handmade in the UK in small batches of 45 litres. They are certified by the Fairtrade Foundation and the Soil Association and the firm claims that they can be traced from field to store. What’s more, all of the firm’s milk and white chocolate is Kosher certified.
The company uses 100% organic ingredients and compostable wrappers produced in Cumbria using primarily Eucalyptus leaves.
The firm claims to be the most ethical chocolate brand in the UK, scoring 100% in the Good Shopping Guide’s Ethical Index for the past five years.
