Wrigley’s Extra sugarfree gum bottle range is expanding with new Cool Breeze 60 pellet bottles.

Currently the fourth bestselling single format in the portfolio (Nielsen Scantrack Independents and Symbols VROS L12W to 18.06.16 (excluding bubblegum and skus in < 10% distribution), Eextra Cool Breeze will be transformed into Wrigley’s bottle format to tap into consumer demand for increased format varieties to suit every gum usage occasion.

Wrigley says bottle formats are seeing increasing success, with the trend towards snacking at work and eating and drinking on the move being key to their performance. Wrigley’s bottle is the only SKU to have driven total category growth volume in the last three years (Nielsen Scantrack MAT WE 09.07.16). 

Julio Guijarro, Wrigley marketing director for GB and Ireland, said: “We’re seeing an increased demand from consumers for our larger pack formats as they look for value and avoid being ‘out of stock’ whilst on-the-move. The launch of our Extra Cool Breeze flavour in the popular bottle format gives consumers even more choice, and helps retailers extend their range of gum to increase sales in a highly impulsive category.”

The launch will be supported with dedicated POS.
