The fourth limited edition flavour to be launched by the brand, McCain Mediterranean Tomato and Basil Wedges, comes in a 750g bag.
McCain has been releasing limited edition Wedges inspired by world cuisines for the past three years. Previous flavours include American BBQ, Roasted Garlic and Caribbean.
The range has experienced great success, with the most popular flavour to date being McCain Roasted Garlic Wedges, which sold over 3 million packs in 12 months. Due to its performance, the SKU has become a permanent fixture in McCain’s retail Wedges portfolio.
McCain marketing director, Mark Hodge, claimed that bringing new flavours to market added interest and diversity to the category. “Mediterranean flavours are popular with consumers across a number of products and categories, and we’re expecting McCain Mediterranean Tomato and Basil Wedges to be a hit with Wedges fans across the UK,” he said.
