Mars Chocolate UK’s Snickers & Hazelnut bar is to become a permanent addition to the range following a sucessful trial.

The bar, which combines peanuts, caramel, nougat and hazelnuts, will be available in a single and four count multi-pack from 25 May.

Distinctive green packaging will help to increase standout on shelf and differentiate from the standard bar. It will be available in a single bar with an rrp of 55p and in a multi-pack of four bars with an rrp of £1.79.

Mars Chocolate UK trade communications manager Bep Dhaliwal said: “Snickers is currently the number two best-selling single and number three multipack in the market. The combination of a best selling bar brand and new product development, which is the biggest driver of category growth, means that we believe Snickers & Hazelnut will be another winning formula.”

The launch of the new Snickers & Hazelnut bar is being supported by a £2m media investment comprising of a range of POS materials including pre-filled units, dumpbins and counter top units as well as core TV coverage, and outdoor and online advertising.
