M&M’s is celebrating with the launch of limited edition M&M’s Rio Colourmix.
The only chocolate brand in the UK with themed ‘colour mix’ confectionery, M&M’s Rio Colourmix is bringing the fun and party spirit of Brazil to life ith bags featuring only green, yellow and blue M&M’s, available in two variants – Peanut and Chocolate.
The new packs will be available in single and sharing formats for a limited time, from June 20 (rrp 60p per 45g, rrp £1.19 per 100g, rrp £2.09 per 165g and rrp £3.29 per M&M’s Peanut 300g).
Mars Chocolate trade communications manager Bep Dhaliwal said: “Around 90% of the population is expected to tune into the Games on TV, and with chocolate being the second biggest snacking category during the sporting event, there is a great opportunity for retailers to tap into the strong demand expected again this summer.”
The Rio Colourmix will be promoted with a range of POS materials. Retailers in the convenience channel will be able to make use of pre-filled HOD’s, dumpbins, toppers and counter top units.
Over the course of 2016, the brand will be supported by a total media investment of £8.5 million which will see it appear on screens across the UK for 26 weeks throughout the year.
