Kind, the fast-growing snack bar brand from the US, has unveiled a new high-protein bar range for c-stores.

Made with nuts and soya, the line-up is avaialble in three variants; Crunchy Peanut Butter, Double Dark Chocolate Nut and Toasted Caramel Nut. Each 50g bar contains 12g of plant protein (rrp £1.69) and is also high in fibre and gluten free.

Designed to enter the sports nutrition market, the Kind Protein range will be rolled out this month to independent retailers, travel sites and BP forecourts.

John McManus, marketing manager at Kind, said: “We know there’s a huge opportunity in the protein category here in the UK and we’re entering with a unique proposition. As we’re seeing the functional health trend continue to grow, we’ve noticed a gap in the market for on-the-go, convenient products, that really deliver on taste, contain whole food, natural ingredients and have a functional benefit. With our flavour-first focus, we believe we are bringing something very exciting into the category and look forward to our nationwide roll-out this autumn.”
