Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats is bringing out two new products under its Galaxy brand.

Galaxy Ultimate Marshmallow Hot Chocolate includes real marshmallows while Galaxy Ultimate White Hot Chocolate contains white chocolate pieces. Both come in 300g jars with pearlescent packaging.

The instant hot chocolate category is in growth by 3.7%, while the Galaxy brand within this category is worth £4.5m and is growing 9% (IRI, year to 11 July 2015).

“Innovation and variety are proven factors in maximising hot chocolate sales and driving growth across the category,” said general manager for Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats, Michelle Frost. “With great on-shelf differentiation, and eye-catching packaging, we believe that these new products will help drive category sales further.”
