World food and drink importer Empire Bespoke Foods has bolstered its healthier savoury snacking selection with the UK launch of Bite+.
Bite+ comprises multigrain (rice and wholewheat) cereal flakes seasoned with savoury flavours, the snacks are high in fibre and low in fat (less than 3%) and saturated fats.
As a non-fried alternative to crisps, they are also free from artificial colours and preservatives and each pack contains two portions meaning, making them ideal for sharing.
The range includes:
Bite+ Sour Cream & Onion – a wonderful combination of sautéed onions and refreshingly sour cream.
Bite+ Sea Salt & Pepper – a classic seasoning to enhance the crispy savouriness of the multigrain flake.
Bite+ Falafel – the taste of falafel with hints of parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander and cayenne.
All flavours are available in a 70g share bag, with an RRP of £1.69.
Working with JRA Research, Empire Bespoke Foods have identified the Bite+ shopper as a 17-49yr old, ABC1-2 Female shopper, who expressed an 83% intent to purchase. The product appealed for its eye-catching, informative packaging and was enjoyed for the choice of flavours, crunchy texture and satisfying/substantial nature. 43% would consume most days or every day, as part of their usual snacking routine, replacing a wide range of non-crisp alternatives, including cereal bars, crackers and cereal.
The product will also be warmly welcomed by the health-conscious kosher community, as it is made on a production line dedicated to kosher pareve products, by an Italian cereal manufacturer with years of expertise.
