Tequila brand El Tequileño is now available to independent retailers thanks to a partnership with Ten Locks.
Two expressions – Blanco (rrp: £22) and Reposado (rrp: £24) will be available to retailers in early 2021. Other SKUs in the range, Platinum, Reposado Gran Reserva, Añejo Gran Reserva and the world’s first and only Reposado Rare, are expected to be available later in the year.
Becky Davies, head of commercial at Ten Locks, said: “Our talks with drinks buyers revealed real appetite for the El Tequileño brand – especially the Reposado Rare. We’re proud to be the first to bring it to the UK and see real promise for the brand as it taps into increasing consumer appetite for tequila, and means discerning drinkers can add a bottle to their basket on their grocery shop.”
