The Co-op has been inspired by 2025’s hottest trend, announcing a Dubai Chocolate-inspired launch with a twist - it costs just £1.50 a slice.

Taking the viral - and usually expensive - pistachio filled chocolate treat and turning it into a brownie, the 80g Irresistible Dubai Style Pistachio Brownie, (RRP £1.50) is a limited edition and set to be the first of its kind from any major UK high street retailer, Co-op says.

At a fraction of the price of many Dubai-inspired products, the brownie comprises of a rich Fairtrade chocolate base, topped with a layer of crunchy pistachio and kadaif filling, finished with a layer of smooth milk chocolate and pistachio nibs.

The new brownies will also be part of Co-op’s Standard and Premium Lunchtime Meal Deal offers, where they can be picked up as a side alongside a main and drink.

Emily Haworth, senior product development manager for trends, said: “We love to take inspiration from trends and incorporate them into our own product development, and this delicious brownie is just that - innovation combined with a great tasting treat. Everyone that’s tried it has loved it, so I can’t wait to see the response from shoppers.”

The brownie launces in Co-op’s bakeries from today (18 August), available across all of its 2,400 stores.

Also recently launched in Co-op’s in-store bakery and another first to market, the limited edition Chocolate Hazelnut Cookiessant (£1.20), which jumps on the hybrid pastry trend by combining a chocolate hazelnut croissant topped with a chewy cookie and baked to perfection. These will be available until mid-September.
