Unilever has extended its range of Colman’s mustards. Colman’s American Style Hot Dog Mustard is available in an easy-to-use squeezable bottle.

Brand manager Laura Gordon-Hall said the launch was designed to capitalise on the growth of the American mustard sub-category.

“As the market-leading mustard brand it is important for us to address consumer demands for new and inspiring products,” she said. “American mustards account for £2.4m of the category and are out-performing the total mustard sector by nearly four times at 9.4% growth YoY (IRI MAT YoY March 2012).The new Hot Dog Mustard from Colman’s taps into this trend and will bring incremental growth to the category.”

The launch will be supported with in-store promotions throughout the summer.
