Skittles has a new bottle format for its original Fruits flavour, designed to tap into demand for ‘on the go’ confectionery.
The launch of the red container format, which has an easy to open resealable lid, will be supported by social media and TV, as well as POS materials.
Dan Newell, Wrigley marketing manager, confections, said: “We have identified a huge gap in the market for the ‘on the go’ occasion and responded to it with the launch of the new Skittles bottle format.”
The new pack offers a great sales opportunity for retailers, according to the company, as bottles are the second most impulsive confectionery purchase format.
The Skittles bottle will be priced at £1.29 .
