MND research

Boost’s latest pledge showcases its support with a significant donation to MND research as well as providing support for the Extra Mile events with its energy and isotonic drinks. Boost will also be bringing the energy to the finish line at Old Trafford with a dedicated area complete with a DJ and drinks for waiting fans.

Sir Kevin is undertaking this challenge to support vital research into Motor Neurone Disease, in memory of his good friend and former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow, who was diagnosed with MND in 2019 and sadly passed away in June 2024.

“Kevin’s work to support MND research has spoken to the public nationally…”

Commenting on the support for the challenge, Lisa McKenna, Boost brand director said: “Sir Kevin has long been a legend of Rugby League, but his work to support MND research has spoken to the public nationally and raised vital funds for research into the disease.

Sir Kevin Sinfield added: “The opportunity to raise money for the MND community is always a privilege, and I’d like to thank Boost for their support. As ever, the challenge is set to be a gruelling week, but with the support of the Rugby League community and the knowledge that this will raise vital funds for those impacted by MND, I’ll be able to push forward.”
