Kinder has a new range of Kinder Surprise Pink and Blue eggs, containing Barbie and Justice League toys, under license from Mattel and Warner Bros.

Rolling out from February, the eggs will be available until mid-April and aim to capitalise on the popularity of Barbie and the animated characters in Justice League. The new pink and blue eggs will be supported with a £1.3m TV advertising campaign, kicking off in March for six weeks, to ensure the new licenses receive a shining launch.

Levi Boorer, customer development director at Ferrero UK says: “Kinder Pink and Blue first launched in 2013 and the brand is now worth £67m (Nielsen Total Market MAT w/e 10.12.16), whilst continuing to grow (15%) in a declining kid’s confectionery category (Nielsen Total Coverage, value MAT w/e 10.12.16).

“In addition, the Kinder Surprise Pink and Blue proposition continues to deliver incremental sales for retailers and we’re confident that these new limited editions will be a hit with parents looking to purchase a relevant treat for their children.”

The new Kinder Surprise Pink and Blue eggs will carry an RRP of £0.86p (20g). Retailers will be able to get their hands on a range of PoS materials suitable for all store sizes, by visiting www.ferrero-trade.co.uk.
