Arla is getting ready for winter with the extension of its Icelandic style yogurt range Arla skyr, introducing limited edition Pear, Apple & Cinnamon for the winter.

Arla skyr, now worth £14.4m, following its launch in April 2015, appeals to shoppers looking for a yogurt thatis high in protein, fat free and with reduced sugar content. The range has proved popular with health conscious consumers, specifically those looking for a good start to the day, with 47% of shoppers enjoying the product at breakfast time. The new limited edition Arla skyr flavour contains skyr layered with a fruity apple and pear compote with cinnamon.

Louise Hagger, brand manager at Arla UK, said: “We’ve had a fantastic year – achieving 8.4% penetration which for a brand that launched under two years ago, is pretty impressive. Arla branded yogurts have now climbed to a 1.4% of the total market share

“This latest addition is a great fit for the winter months, with the ingredients ones that consumers will associate with hearty, warming winter dishes - yet the best thing is this yogurt comes without the guilt factor.”

Arla skyr is available in 450g (RRP £1.69p) pots in three flavours; Simply Natural, Mixed with Strawberry or Mixed with Honey and in 150g pots (RRP £0.85p) in four flavours; Sour Cherry, Strawberry, Mixed Berries, Blueberry and Elderberry.
