Laundry brand Ariel is to launch a new stain removal range with a promise to inject new life into the laundry additives sector.

The new products are available in 500g and 1kg powder, 1 litre gel and 500ml spray formats, in both white and colour wash styles, with the in-wash powder expected to be the biggest selling product. The new range has already been successfully launched in Germany, Italy and Spain where it has grown the category.

The laundry additives market is worth £80m in the UK, but is currently only being used by half of households. Ariel brand owner P&G believes it can drive this upwards and will back the stain remover launch with extensive TV advertising and in-store marketing support.
