Three boys have been arrested following a knife-point robbery in a Spar store in Godalming, Surrey, police have revealed.

The incident happened at the store on Long Gore at around 5:30pm on 12 January.

The suspects entered the store, using a knife to threaten a member of staff. They stole money, alcohol and goods before making off on foot. The member of staff was uninjured.

Two 13-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody, while one 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery and was released from custody, but remains under investigation.

Surrey Police Sergeant of CID, Jo Smith, said: “The incident would have caused extreme alarm and distress for the shop worker but due to a fast response from officers we were able to swiftly make arrests.”
