Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an ATM attack at a Spar store in North Somercotes.

The incident happened at the store on Keeling Street in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire at around 3am on 31 January.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “Significant damage was caused to the front of the building and a quantity of cash was taken. Officers are appealing to anyone with information that could assist.”

The incident followed a number of recent attempted ATM thefts on Spar stores across the UK in recent weeks, including an attempted ATM ram raid at a Spar store in Moray and an ATM burglary at a West Midlands Spar store.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Lincolnshire Police 101, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org or email force.control@lincs.pnn.police.uk, putting the reference 33 of January 31 in the subject box.
