AmazonFresh has rolled outs its home delivery food service into Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

Its extension into 42 of the counties’ postcodes comes just a year after AmazonFresh launched in the UK.

The new locations take the service to 302 postcodes across London and the South East – from Watford to Berkhamsted to Luton.

AmazonFresh has added more than 50,000 products in the past year to take it to more than 180,000 items.

They include fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, baked goods, seafood and dairy as well as breads, pastries and biscuits from its in-house bakery.

Customers can also shop from a selection of foods in the new Foodie Trends curated store, which it says features its “newest and coolest brands” and some of its health-conscious range.

One-hour delivery slots are available from 7am to 11pm seven days a week.

AmazonFresh customers can also shop from a broad selection of products from many London fine food retailers, including Gail’s Artisan Bakery, Paxton & Whitfield and Forman & Field, whose products are delivered as part of the AmazonFresh order.

Ajay Kavan, vice president, AmazonFresh International, said: “We have built on our momentum in the UK with the launch of AmazonFresh in Germany and Japan over the past couple of months and will keep working to expand selection, offer great value, and provide fast and convenient delivery options for all of our customers.”
