Kellogg’s is hoping to shake up the way breakfast cereals are sold to the independent channel by introducing smaller case sizes for its range.
The five or six-unit cases are designed to help retailers stock a wider range while reducing outlay and lowering the risk of being left with unsold stock.
The cases will be available in early January and cost less than £12 per case (with the exception of Krave).
As well as the new case sizes, Kellogg’s has revamped the Nutri-Grain range. It will have three different sub-ranges Soft & Fruity (formerly soft bakes), Elevenses Bakes and new Nutri-Grain Crunchy bars (launch price of 40p, rrp 55p). It has also unveiled the Rice Krispie Squares Rocky Road (rrp 55p) which will be available from January and supported by a £2m marketing spend.
