Don't be so daft Brynn, it's not about people getting up in the morning and Googling Best One. It's about people being able to quickly find information about their local store as and when they need it. Simple stuff.

Yes Harry, Bestway has more to worry about but this article is about their app so what better place to mention their online failings.

Having a basic online presence costs peanuts for symbol groups and is important as most shopkeepers have no need to create and update their own website for a single store.

It's amazing how many shops still have no listings online, therefore it's impossible for even regular customers to find accurate opening times, let alone customers unfamiliar with an area looking for a local shop - if your shop doesn't show on Google when someone searches "shop near me" or similar, then you are losing business.

It's actually mind-boggling that something so vital is being ignored by Best One when it's such a low cost facility to introduce.

When we had incorrect opening hours on our symbol's store locator, we were amazed how many customers mentioned it - even regular ones! And that was a few years ago, so customers will be even more likely to look you up online these days.

Unfortunately, I think part of the reason independents find it hard to stay afloat these days is because they're stuck in the past and have no idea about modern trends. It's sad because there are a lot of small changes that can make a big impact but too often people focus on making big changes that have a small impact.
