I am most concerned that long-term street stalwarts D&S Alahan's and Roy's Rolls will be unable to compete with these imported corporate giants. Both proprietors have lost their partners in recent years and I fear for their sanity and well-being if locals shun loyalty and favour the new easy options in town. Let's face it, both Roy and Dev already display signs of being unbalanced on occasions, and I would hate this additional stress to tip them over the edge.
