M LOCAL has cost Morrisons £30 million net loss. Morrisons are BIG BOYS in the field.
They may have seen the future and --- Convenience is not the way forward. We will wait and see. Despite all the drum bashing and fashion for Convenience, I think it has had its best days.
Convenience is currently having a hard time and there are very few complainants, at least in Public. Tell me a retailing convenience group who is having a profitable time.

I think MY LOCAL may be a tiny bit naïve in its optimism and bullish in its behaviour. The other BIG BOYS would have paid Morrisons a hefty sum for the chain if the prospects were good. The rest of us boys should keep calm. Remember this is a desperate un-profitable number of stores now contracted to a desperate and unprofitable central supplier

We should wait and see how things pan out. I'm not in or confident on this one.

Nisa will also have offered better Buying terms than its long term members in its own desperation.
