Mars Choc Brownie blurs chocolate bar and cake categories
Mars Chocolate UK has announced a new variation to the iconic Mars bar – Mars Choc Brownie.
Bringing together two of the nation’s favourite food categories – cakes/pastries and chocolate - Mars Choc Brownie combines thick chocolate nougat with indulgent dark caramel, covered in classic Mars chocolate.
Available from May 22, Mars Chocolate Brownie (rrp 61p) will come in single, four-pack multipack and four-pack snacksize multipack, as well as single and multipack PMPs.
Bep Dhaliwal, trade communications manager at Mars Chocolate UK, said: “We know that cakes and pastry snacking is the category most in growth amongst millennials, and by combining this trend with our iconic Mars Chocolate, we’re confident we’ve created an innovative product that can help boost singles sales across the grocery and convenience channels and drive category growth.
“Retailers should capitalise on the buzz of a new product launch and variants on blockbuster brands like Mars to maximize sales in store.”
The launch of Mars Choc Brownie will be supported by a comprehensive launch package and display solutions.

I walked past this bar in the shop. I am allergic to wheat so I rolled my eyes at it thinking "great! Another product I can't eat!" Yet I was curious, so I checked the ingredients and actually it is wheat free! Surprising for a brownie product... it does contain barley so it is not fully gluten free unfortunately. But I was so pleased that I bought the bar to try and it's actually pretty good! Yum ?? Quite rich/sickly though, probably won't make this a regular purchase..
