Barefoot Wine is introducing a new bubbly Pinot Grigio in time for festive celebrations.

The aim of the new addition is to build on the success of the brand’s still Pinot Grigio which has seen sales rapidly growing by 22% in the past 12 months. What’s more, sparkling wine continues to surge in popularity - up 12% YOY (Nielsen Off Trade 12/08/17).

This new sku offers flavours of citrus and sweet orange blossom and it pairs well with Asian flavours such as prawn toast, spring rolls and Thai curries.

This new addition is available now (rrp £8.50, 8% ABV) and joins the Barefoot Bubbly Pink Moscat.

Olga Senkina, marketing director EMEA at Barefoot Wine and Bubbly, said: ”With sparkling wine now a major contributor of growth to the wine category, coupled with the success of our existing Pinot Grigio and Bubbly Pink Mpscato wines, we thought there was no better time to launch the Barefoot Bubbly Pinot Grigio. Barefoot is known for its fun and approachable style and is now leading the way in making wine more accessible to consumers of all ages, whether they are long term wine drinkers or new to the category. This product will be no exception and the afforable price tag means that any occasion can involve bubbles!”

Barefoot is the biggest contributor of growth to the wine category adding £26.2m in the last 12 months, with the Bubbly Pink Moscato selling at 29p higher than the sparkling wine category (Nielsen Off Trade 12/08/17).
