Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after a number of incidents have been reported regarding the use of fake notes in the county.

Seven offences involving fake £50 notes and fake Scottish £20 notes were committed across Wiltshire on May 9 and 10 2015. These offences took place at retail outlets in Devizes, Calne, Marlborough and Swindon.

It is believed that at least two offenders are involved, a white female (pictured here) and white male with an Irish accent.

In Fraser’s Budgens, Marlborough, the staff have even more reason to stay alert after a customer tried to pay using a fake £20 note a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately the staff realised and did not accept the money, so no further action was taken.
