To celebrate the opening of its 36,000sq ft new warehouse, Blackpool-based Turners Cash & Carry is holding a Trade Day on March 24.

The Trade Day is open to all newsagents, off-licences and convenience stores whether they are existing or prospective customers. There will be plenty of activities on throughout the day including competitions, raffles and entertainment. There will also be special cash and carry offers and money off deals.

Turners’ spokesman Austin Young said that the new warehouse would result in more choice for customers.

“The new premises are key to our future growth,” he said. “We have been expanding for some time but with the opening of the warehouse, we will be able to extend product lines and other services that we offer to our customers.”

The cash and carry is part of the Sugro buying group and specialises in confectionery, crisps, snacks and tobacco as well as alcohol and some convenience lines.

“Turners is one of the most well-established and highly successful wholesalers in the North West and a key member of the Sugro Group,” said Sugro managing director Philip Jenkins. “The move to the new warehouse is a critical stepping stone for the company, allowing it to fully realise its growth plans in terms of the breadth of products it can offer, its value-driven approach and cementing its already superior customer service.”
