Kettlewell Village Store, part of the set for the hit film Calendar Girls, is up for sale.

The store, which has a freehold asking price of £645,000, is located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and also houses the interactive Ewedale Model Village tourist attraction. As well as the store, there is also a six-bedroom residential property attached to it.

The village is a tourist hotspot and interest in the area is set to rise this summer when the Tour de France passes through.

Andrew Birnie, director at Christie & Co, said: “Properties in this location and of this type seldom come onto the market and we are sure there will be a high level of interest from those seeking a lifestyle change. We feel that there is scope to expand the business opportunities, such as introducing bed & breakfast, incorporating a tea-room and extending the opening hours of the model village.

“This is a genuine retirement sale which offers a prospective purchaser a complete lifestyle change from the hustle and bustle of city life and to raise their family in an idyllic Yorkshire Dales village location.”
