The makers of Mary Portas: Secret Shopper and Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares are looking for independent c-store owners to feature in a new television series on shoplifting.
The Optomen Television series will feature a leading crime prevention expert who will help independent shops and businesses tackle shoplifting head on.
Producer Joe Newell said: “Our programme aims to help independent shops and businesses by offering advice on the latest crime fighting technology, as well as providing some simple and easy to implement measures that could really make a difference when it comes to deterring potential criminals.
“So if you’re a shop owner or manager and you’d like some advice on how to better protect your business against thieves, please get in touch”.
The series is being made for a major broadcaster and will be transmitted early next year.
More than 80% of respondents to C-Store’s current online poll have reported an increase in shop theft over the past 12 months.
