Today’s Group has launched the second phase of its Margin Maker promotion.

The initiative offers independent retailers between 40-60% profit on return (POR) on own brand lines.

Beginning on 16th February, all Today’s Select product lines will be available at Today’s member wholesale depots at 40% POR.

Today’s will then promote all Essentials brand lines at 50% POR, while Blue Stone Spring water will be available at 60% POR. The campaign will end with a ‘Best of the Best’ deal, which will give retailers competitive deals on a number of specially selected Today’s own-brand products.

Managing director of Today’s Group Bill Laird said: “We are supporting our retailers to tackle competition with an attractive own-label brand that hits a competitive consumer price point, provides great value over key brands and allows sustainable margins to be made by retailers and wholesalers.”

The campaign follows the success of the first Margin Maker promotion, which was launched in January 2014. The second phase will be backed with a heavyweight national trade media campaign and point of sale at retail and wholesale level, including shelf talkers and posters.

The promotional campaign coincides with the group’s new recruitment drive, which has been developed to support its strategy of growing to 500 symbol stores from its current number of 443by the end of the year.
