Spar has rolled out the second phase of its S Budget own label range.

Since its launch last August, the S Budget range has amassed wholesale sales of £6m.

There will be nine new products in the S Budget range covering grocery and household cleaning, all guaranteeing margins of at least 20% for retailers. These include 160-pack of teabags,100g coffee granules, thick pine disinfectant, soap-filled pads and fabric conditioner.

The range was initially launched with 33 lines. Earlier this year it extended its frozen range to include fish fingers and cheese & tomato pizzas.

Susan Darbyshire, Spar brand director, said: “Since the S Budget launch last year, Spar retailers have already been bowled over by the popularity and success of the range, saying that it has come at the perfect time for their customers, so it seemed a natural move to launch nine fantastic new products into the range now.”

She added that S Budget prices will continue to be monitored against competitors to ensure they remain economical.

The second phase of the S Budget range will be supported by POS materials including posters, barkers and shelf edge labels. Spar is also offering retailers S Budget external banners, window posters and gondola end headers to further communicate the range.
